My Story

My
Story

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a chef, a mentor, a course creator, or someone leading a whole community of moms and families—but when I look back, it all makes perfect sense.

My life started in motion. My dad played professional football in the Arena Football League, so we moved constantly. I was a “new kid” over and over again until we finally settled in Houston when I was eight. I didn’t know it then, but being planted in such a diverse city would be one of the biggest blessings of my life.

Houston exposed me to more culture, more food, and more connection than I could’ve ever imagined. My friends were mostly first-generation Americans—Mexican, Indian, Nigerian, Vietnamese—and I got to learn from them just by showing up. I was invited into their kitchens, their traditions, their auntie’s birthday parties, and I soaked up every second of it. And the food? Don’t even get me started. Houston taught me that food wasn’t just something you ate—it was language, love, and legacy. As a kid, I didn’t always understand how rare that was. But I carried it with me.

Sports were another love language for me growing up, and soccer became my thing. I earned a full-ride Division I athletic scholarship to Mississippi Valley State, and let me tell you—that wasn’t just a win, that was a milestone. I was a starter my freshman year, and I led the entire SWAC conference in both goals and assists. I was proud. I was locked in. And I was building something.

But sometimes, life has a way of rerouting us when we least expect it. I got injured, and everything started to unravel. Not just physically, but mentally too. The dream I had worked so hard for slipped away faster than I could process it. I didn’t go back for my junior year, not because I couldn’t—but because I felt God telling me not to. I still remember that conversation with my parents. They didn’t get it at first. Honestly, neither did I. But I knew I had to follow that voice.

That season broke me a little—but it also became the very beginning of me finding myself. That’s when I started leaning into my faith. That’s when I realized that my identity was never supposed to be wrapped in one title. That’s when I started walking down the road of personal development, leadership, and self-awareness. That was the real beginning of me.

When I started living on my own, all I knew was that I wanted to travel and get paid for it. So I took a job with Alaska Airlines and had a whole move planned to Anchorage. I was just about to fly out and secure a place to live when something else got dropped in my lap—a travel network marketing company that would change my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Not only did I dive into the world of entrepreneurship, but I also found myself in personal development and leadership for the first time. I mean, I didn’t even know what “vision boards” were back then. But I was hungry—for purpose, growth, truth.

And wouldn’t you know it? I also met my husband through that company. We started building a business and traveling together, and it was clear from the start—we were soulmates, even when we didn’t know how to speak each other’s language yet. We got married by the CEO of our second travel company (yes, really) and built a life full of ups, downs, beauty, breakdowns, rebuilding, and so much growth. We’ve gone from traveling the world every 3 months to losing everything. From building successful teams to me getting sick and almost losing my life during my third pregnancy. Through all of it, Tre has been my rock, my love, my co-visionary, and the person who holds me down while I build up everything else.

Together, we have four incredible children. Our squad is deep. 8, 6, 2, and 4 months—and each of them is wildly different, but when we’re all in the room together, it just feels like wholeness. That’s the best way I can explain it. I love the little humans they are and the big spirits they carry. And the truth is, they’ve taught me more about myself than any course, job, or coach ever could.

Because kids are mirrors. They show you where you’re strong, where you’re not healed, where you still need to grow. They force you to show up real.

My journey with food evolved as life did. I’ve always loved to cook—but it wasn’t until I met Chef Kisha at a farmers market that things shifted. I was there selling CBD (anther venture with Tre), and she was in the booth next to me. One day she was on crutches, and the next she had her arm in a sling. She had no help running her business, and because I had years of experience from network marketing, I offered to help. No strings attached. Just my heart. I’d go to her office and help with inventory, bottling spices, website stuff—whatever she needed. And in return, she poured into me. She saw something in me I wasn’t fully owning yet.

After helping her, she pushed me to cater my first wedding. 100+ guests. I veganized a beef wellington (shoutout to Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube video), made caramelized carrots, rustic garlic-smashed potatoes—it was a medieval theme, and I was in there sweating but so proud. The guests, mostly non-vegans, were coming back for seconds and thirds. I left with no leftovers and a full heart. Not too long after an opportunity to attend Auguste Escoffier Plant based culinary school came up. I was hesitant, but between Tre and Kisha, they got me to understand how great this would be.

I enrolled in plant-based culinary school while raising kids, cooking from scratch, folding laundry, and building my business from the ground up. Then life threw another curveball: my third pregnancy nearly ended my life. It was terrifying. But God carried me through, and I came back stronger, more grounded, and more on fire for my purpose than ever before. I finished school. I graduated. I got certified. And I realized that this was bigger than me just cooking. This was about legacy.

Quick Networking was the LLC we started in 2019, but as our vision expanded, so did the name. Now, we operate under Mindset Integration Academy—because we’re not just building a business. We’re building a library of tools, a hub of resources, a movement of wholeness. And it all starts with food. Every course, every recipe, every workshop, every schedule we create is about helping families, especially moms, step into peace, power, and purpose.

My husband, Tre, is the CFO and Director of Sales. He still runs a $4.5 million store cluster for Mattress Firm, is a million-dollar writer, and has trained countless people to sell at the highest level. He’s been a credit champion, a leadership trainer, and a man of vision. And now he’s using that power for our family legacy and our mission. Together, we are building something that’s meant to last—something our kids’ kids can look back on and be proud of.

I’ve spent over $65k personal development, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills over the past 10 years. Not just for me, but because I knew one day I’d be responsible for helping other people grow too. Everything I teach is rooted in real-life experience, leadership training, and the faith that got me through every hard moment. I'm not teaching fluff. I'm not regurgitating what I heard from someone else. I’ve lived this. I’ve cried through it. I’ve prayed through it. I’ve led people through it.

And now, I’m here to lead you.

Whether you're a mom trying to find your rhythm again, a family looking to bond through food, or someone who just knows God has called you to do more—I got you. You can cook with your kids, heal your body, lead your home, and still have joy in your day. You can build a business, fold a load of laundry, and still make space to grow.

This is the life we’re building at Mindset Integration Academy—intentionally, from scratch, and with so much love.

And we’re just getting started.
